Which format to pick
JPG is best for photos. PNG keeps sharp edges and transparency, ideal for logos and screenshots. WebP is smaller than both and is supported by all modern browsers, which makes it a good choice for websites.
Private by design
Most online converters upload your file to a server, process it there and send it back. That is slow on mobile data and means a copy of your document sits on somebody else's computer, at least for a while. This tool works differently: the code runs inside your browser, so the file is read and processed on your own phone or laptop and is never uploaded. That makes it a good fit for bank statements, ID scans, offer letters and anything else you would rather keep private.
